Paul R Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I was going through my DDR bins and came across the Fire Dept section. I noticed that the insignia between the Volunteer FD and the Regular FD varied in that the Volunteer FD had the carmine cheverons on the Russian Braid. I am interested in seeing what you all have in your collections from either the Regular Fire Dept or the Volunteer sides. I feel that the Volunteer FD insignia are very attractive. Did the two use the same collar tabs?
ehrentitle Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Paul, Here is the back of a DDR Feuerwehr booklet that shows the professional and volunteer firefighter insignia. As you can see there is a difference between the collar insignia of the two. Kevin
