Guest Rick Research
Nice bar. These medals are not easy to find-- at least outside of the Principality. This must have been a 3 medal bar, so when the wearer got his Hindenburg Cross he removed the center hook and made it-- very neatly--into a 4 bar. Much better done than usual with all the ribbons replaced so they are spaced nicely rather than the newest one just jammed in.Mainly given to natives of Hohenzollern, but also to members of Fusileer Regiment 40 and other regiments the Prince was ? la Suite to. He was very generous with awards. It is the local equivalent of an EK2.I do not have the Roll for the silver medals, but all classes of the Principality's WW1 awards with swords down to the gold ones was published last year.
