Hauptmann Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Hi all,Hoping these are okay for this section. I need to know if these are real or fake, and if real any further info would be deeply appreciated! Many thanks! Dan
arrestanddevelopment Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Although these were issued during wartime ,many were issued as reunion pins/badges post war..you need to go with your gut feeling and check age wear, personally i wouldnt bother and wait till a nice one which i was convinced about turned up.The style you display is the most copied.cheerssteve
Hauptmann Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 Hi Steve,Deeply appreciate the help on these. They're a bit outside my areas of interest. Not that I don't like them... I have a few Polish Orders/medals but I've only touched on that area of the hobby. Was aware of these but nothing in the way of detailed info. Seems they've copied everything but the kitchen sink these days... and I'm expecting that any day now. Again many many thanks!!!! Dan
GregK Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Both are real. Depending on price they are well worth adding to a collection.Regards,Greg
Hauptmann Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Hi Greg,Mucho thanks for the additional info! Deeply appreciate the help! Dan
leigh kitchen Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I have a badge looks identcal to the one on the left, the bronzed one, other than mine does'nt have the emblem on the wreath. I was told that it was genuine, when I posted it up on forums for opnion.A lot of these British made insignia came onto the market back in the 90's? Unissued stock from WWII.
