Iver
Newest one in my collection - miniature of Silver Red Cross medal with war decoration on womans ribbon - silver, on the ring makers mark "VM" - V. Mayer. I dont have any other miniature of RC medal with WD (just officers cross mini), so I wanted to ask, was there another type of ennameled wreath on medal minis? Peter Orincsay
That is really a beautiful piece. I have never seen a miniature of that RK medal before. I have only a RK-cross on a chain together with some other Hungarian miniatures. Here´s a photo of the RK miniature.

Josef Rietveld
....I see your medal had every leaf separatly ennameled they did some good work. i have never seen a KD (WD) done in the way your RK-Medal shows - very unusual but interesting. josef Edited August 12, 2009 by Josef Rietveld
larsb001
Hi Iver. I can show you some of the types I have for comparison. Seems there were many different manufacturers with slightly different designs and ways of doing the wreath. I also included two variations of the 1923 type where they kept the WD - although at that time they made a different design, and of course it wasn't anymore a WD. I allways wondered why they kept the wreath which was a WD a few years before. Cheers, Lars

Ulsterman
Excellent!! In the film, "The Goebbels Experiment" a documentary with Kenneth Branagh, there's several shots of almost this very Hungarian medal bar being worn in the dinner scene close ups.
