drspeck
Hi all, This item arrived recently. So far I've been able to find out that it's probably Italian and a part of a red felt collar tab from an RSI tunic. It looks to be gold thread which gives it a nice 3D effect. If anyone has more info, please let me know. Regrads, Peter
iffig
It is italian; probably a cuff insignia worn by the San Marco unit.
WRANGEL
I agree with iffig, this should be a distinctive of the Division San Marco, but I think this badge dates prior to the RSI, since the bible held in the Lion's claw is open (wereas it was closed during the RSI because of the words "Pax Tibi Marce Evangelista Meus" not very relevant in war time).
