It's the shape of the skull. The Brunswick skulls were IR17 and the Prussian type Kav.Rgt.5 during the Third Reich.

Sal, the way I keep it straight is that the Prussian skulls are very similar to SS or panzer skulls, whereas the Brunswickers look more like the ones you see on pirate flags...
