    Hi!

I need your help in a tricky research...

I am looking for an LtCol getting the ek2 in 1914 - probably for the battle of liege -, and  after checking the  prussian "Rangliste 1914" I found only two LtCol in the Regiment: Wünsche and Schallehn. So I would ask you about some more information about these two guys: does anyone of you have info about there military career or any other info? I was searching a lot of time, but without there full names or some more details... Or did I "lost" one more guy in the IR 82 (2. kurhessisches)?

    Thanks for your help!

    best wishes for 2010

"I am looking for an LtCol getting the ek2 in 1914"

On the basis of WHAT? Photo? ... ?

Yes, Rick - I know: it sounds not professional, and normally i am not someone with such nonprofessional questions!

Here's the background: It's based on a photo rearside signed 1914 with an LtCol with "82" on his shoulders and wearing an ek2-band. So I guess he got the ek2 in 1914. And because I would like to know who he is I ask here because of the great community and the possibility of research him...

    regards

    westfale,

Oberstleutnant Hugo Wünsche was already commanding R.I.R. Nr. 91 at mobilsation and was wounded on 17 September 1914. He died at Hedemünden on 28 July 1915.

Paul Schallehn retired as a Generalmajor in 1919.

    Regards

    Glenn
