Soviet Cossack medal

Hello to all!

I am looking for information on this medal. It was labeled as Cossack Medal of Archangel, Michael for Excellency when I got it. The medal and ribbon look new.

I am looking for when it was issued, why it was issued and if it is a copy (which I think it is).

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe this is one of a series of modern commemorative

medals being churned out in Russia at the moment.

Private purchase with no official backing.

Falls into the "Bling-Bling" section.

Many of these items would look better on a key chain

especially judging by there "quality".

It sure does have a "Bling-Bling" look. I agree, it looks like it should be a keychain. I thought I would post it just to make sure. Thanks.
