Tom Y Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 A group of Belgian POW's doing roadwork, more or less, while being guarded, more or less, by 3 rather inept looking grunts while the brass and their drivers take a much needed break.
Ulsterman Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 This is my attempt to win an EK2 from chris B! I'll pay $1 to everyone who contributes a photo! Please show your WW1 POWs-any nation, anywhere! Ta Tommys- France, March, 1918.
Ulsterman Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 The first postcard i ever bought-1973, 5p. Grman POWs in 1917 marched through a town in England.
Robert Noss Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) The first photo is from a POW - Arbeitslager ( Labour-Camp ) in which my great-grandfather was a guard, after he was heavy wounded at the western frontlines The photo is not dated. He wrote that there were 360 men under his command. December 8th, 1918 my great-grandfather died. Next one shows a couple of russian ( or bulgarian ? ) officers ( I think Rick has already seen that photo and said a few words ) Last one is another interesting shot of british and canadian soldiers, but I am really not sure if they are POW's or not Kind regards Robert Edited April 13, 2010 by Robert Noss
