    Hmmmmmm.

I'd say that is a circa 1920 bar with the later 1920s ribbon slapped on top for no reason at all.

    1) EK2 1914 combatant

    2) Prussian War Effort Cross

    3) Prussian Red Eagle Order 4 (I think more likely than a General Decoration in Silver***)

    4) Prussian/Reichs Long Service #Unknown 1

    5) Ditto #Unknown 2

    6) 1897 Centenary Medal

    7) *** Russian Order of St. Anne 3rd Class

That last could be one of the 1919 junk ones, but if not...

    4) is probably a 1920 XXV Years Service Cross and

    5) would be an LD1 or LD2-- the PAIR suggesting an administrative official who was also a reserve officer, in a career path first decorated with a Red Eagle 4 rather than a Crown 4.

Aha , was there a whole group ? I miss that  , to bad the name was messed up otherwise this strange bar could get a name ....

I have to see if I can find the other lots

I am wondering about taking away this 1920s ribbon and have a ordinarie ribbon bar but I usually never mess with period misstakes even if they are strange, so I don´t really know about this one.

Maybe I should keep it like this

Thanks for the id of the St Anne , Rick I was puzzled by that ribbon

OK, so a DECK OFFICER, retired as a Leutnant der Marine aD after the war.

It would be a General Decoration in Silver, not Red Eagle Order... and he was wearing non-regulation XXV and XV together. No sign of ANY Russian award there, so either one of the pre-war Merit Medals on that ribbon, or something 1919 Baltic related.

Can't read anything from the distant pile of papers.
