Eric Stahlhut Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 here's a pic from a grouping i've had for eons (medal bar, 7 pics, boutonier all in an old period agfa box--mundane stuff). the quality of the postcard is poor, as are my photography skills. however, i just noticed this particular item a few months ago, and i thought some of you might like to see it. boonzaier in particular. here goes:
Eric Stahlhut Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 as i mentioned before-- i am no epsonite!
Eric Stahlhut Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 ya mon, since i posted a few other items today, i figured i'd throw this one on the forum as well. ho hum. sorry for the crappy imagery!
Guest Rick Research Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Eppppppppppppppppppppppppppson scannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnner..... Was that Feldpost mailed? I don't think I've everseen a marker like this a)for TWO soldiers in the same grave and b) that specifies the COMPANY-- but I do not see any REGIMENT?
Eric Stahlhut Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 rick, none of the cards were mailed and only one has anything written on it. the cards are a mix of military and post-military life (the guy's wife/daughter, his kegel club, etc). the 4-medal bar, although very nice, is a standard 30s era (HK) with the usual stuff. here's an image of the card with writing on the reverse: mausoleum
