jshorter
Hi everyone, I just received my newest medal bar today, and the Bavarian Militär Verdienst Order, 4th. Class with Swords is marked the following way on the reverse: - On the medal = "950 J. L." - On the Swords = "J. L. 900" I know the number is for the silver content, but what does the "J. L." stand for (which maker)? Thank you! Jason
Kev in Deva
Hallo Jshorter Nice Eye Candy, :jumping: The J. L. = Jakob Lesser, the maker. Hofkunstansdalt und Ordenfabrik JACOB LESER Straubing Is to be seen inside many of the Order and Medal boxes these awards came in. IrishGunner
I agree with Matt - this is a lovely mounting for a simple group. Of course, anything with a MVO is great in my opinion. One of my favorite decorations.
