I need some help with a picture taken in Pirna/Saxony about 1913. I am not sure whether the picture shows pioneers or field artillery. I guess it is rather pioneers:

The 2nd picture shows a guy from 1. königlich-sächsisches Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12. Do you have any idea concerning his rank?

    Hi Speedy,

I think, that you can see both in the first picture:

    Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 and (parts of the) 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64

Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 in four "blocks" on the right, and a delegation of the 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64 in the foreground on the left with the regimental music.

Thanks, Uwe. That would make sense. So the picture seems to show the wellcome of Pioni-Bataillon 12 in Pirna in 1913.
