Speedy Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) I need some help with a picture taken in Pirna/Saxony about 1913. I am not sure whether the picture shows pioneers or field artillery. I guess it is rather pioneers: Edited March 20, 2010 by Speedy
Speedy Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 The 2nd picture shows a guy from 1. königlich-sächsisches Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12. Do you have any idea concerning his rank?

Speedy Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 Thank you. Any idea concerning the first picture?
speedytop Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Hi Speedy, I think, that you can see both in the first picture: Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 and (parts of the) 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64 Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 in four "blocks" on the right, and a delegation of the 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64 in the foreground on the left with the regimental music. Uwe
Speedy Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 Thanks, Uwe. That would make sense. So the picture seems to show the wellcome of Pioni-Bataillon 12 in Pirna in 1913.
