Looks like someone took a fake Military Medal disc and attached it to a fake Crimea type suspension .... and as mentioned used a AGSM ribbon ...

The disc & suspender look like a one piece, but the disc is tilted round to one side - any chance t's a genuine disc attached to the suspender? Any naming around the edge of the disc?

What is the diameter of the disc? I want to see if what i've heard is true about this type of copy.

Peter - I think you will find the Africa GS has the same colouring and stripes - however, the two thin inner stripes are green. Mervyn

The disc is as wrong as you can get if the Royal mint had produced as cruddy a portrait of George V as that they would have been sent to the Tower and shot.

It's a French-manufactured piece. Not a genuine MM, and not a copy in the modern sense per se, but rather a contemporary item. You sometimes find DCMs as well. This seems to be in very good condition. Incorrect ribbon though.

Figures, it reminded me of French produced Brtish medals I've seen but only as miniatures (I have a couple somewhere, Crimea period).
