dblmed Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Police CLOTHING Depot ... 1943+ This is a very interesting foto which shows a Polizei 'group' inside of a Clothing Depot. [Not the expected scene for issuing clothing.] • Officer is in the center, seated on a stack of bundled / tied Clothing' • Some NCO's & EM are also on the clothing, with others standing. NOTE: the 4th man from the Right - still has the Clothing ID Tag on his Left Sleeve Cuff!! [He just got a brand new tunic!] Behind him are bundles of trousers, with ID tags. The whole 'group' climbed up on the top shelf of the Clothing Depot [and their photographer had to climb up on an adjacent row of racks to take the picture. (1) The man on the Far LEFT - & - the man on the Far RIGHT, in the Back - are the only ones who have on White 'Drillich' type Uniforms. ? Perhaps they are permanent members of the Staff of the Clothing Depot? (2) What is the thick 'bedding / stuffing' type material on the Far Left? (3) What do you suppose is in the wrapped rectangular bundles, on the 2 shelves below the fellow who just got the 'unissued' tunic? (4) Foto is undated. It does seem to be a bit strange for a foto pose, but it must have been 'official' and OK, as the Officer is prominently in the center. I'm sure that you will see many more details. ...Txs, ...Dave / dblmed
