Gordon Williamson Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 One of my favourites. Feldgendarm from "Feldherrnhalle" with both cuffbands
HouweTrouwe Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 Really seldom photograph of the LW-Feldgendarmerie! I can understand why this is your favourite. I think I saw this one some years ago, can't remember exactly. A bright, shineful photo. Thanks for sharing. One of my favourites. Feldgendarm from "Feldherrnhalle" with both cuffbands
HouweTrouwe Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) I also want to add to this thread that Feldgendarmen weren't bulletproof as many people think. Actually they were one of the first to arrive and to leave. First photograph is honoring a fallen comrade (much emotion in this one, this photograph really touches me) and the second one is a photograph of the "Kessel von Wjasma". Both are from Feldgendarmerie-Trupp 5. From this Trupp I've an entire photogroup and one Urkunde which belonged to Albert D. of this unit. Gordon, love the photo of Sonderverband 287!
