Mike Fawson Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) Just thought I would show you my B&NL Pilots badge. Mike http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-1426-12805803761.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-1426-128058038126.jpg Edited July 31, 2010 by Mike Fawson
J Temple-West Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Another nice piece, Mike With so many good fakes of the B&NL PB about, good to see an original example...and an early one at that. I notice that the badge has some information scratched on the reverse of the wreath, a name, rank or FP number perhaps? The scratchings on B&NL badge of mine (so often found on qualification badges) led me to the man's rank, unit and service record....so always check your badges, folks.
Mike Fawson Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 John, thanks for your comments and posting your fine example. As for the scratching on the reverse - on the wreath at about 4 or 5 O'clock is the number 117112 and on the eagle wing is 117. Kind Regards, Mike
