makedon Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Hello, I found this St George Cross, which looks like a copy to me. It has hand-engraved numbers and two marks on the suspension ring. It is thin, as you can see in the photos. As I am not an expert, I would like an opinion about this cross. Thank you!
makedon Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 A side photo of the same 3rd class cross. Please advise!!

Claudius Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I hope this photo helps. Sorry for the delay-I had trouble with my scanner. I still don't have a good feeling about this one.
kustik12 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Cross 100% Original. Private made by jeweler. Most interested on this cross its small mark (bottom one). Try to describe how it’s look like (wolf head or?). Check France and German marks for silver came from other countries (they use special mark for items like this).
cossack Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Looks fine to me, just not standard issue - look at the cloak on St.George, more typical of the type used in the Civil War.
