demir Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 please be careful same web site : TWM 280556239298 and CRETE MEDAL 280556245966
avsaribar Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) Dear Mr.Demir , Thank you very much for expanding the list of this deficient sellers new items. For our new collector friends , i just wish to mention here again that ; 1 - For both of them , the TWM and The Atik Crete Medal , please observe the blisters which caused by the cast technique , but an original medal was made with a press technique without that kind of bubles and blisters. Mostly they occured because of the gases , air and clash of the mine / metal when it saw the heat to melt. *** But please try not to mix this cast problems, with the natural traces , scratches and gutters which may accure on an original one due to the time wear. 2 - Please observe for both of them , the brownish patina which is caused when trying to gave the fake old looking patina with some chemicals. demir Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Dear Avsar, Thanks for the very professional explanation. Will you please also explain to our friends the signs of casting on the Mecidi mentioned in your thread, like the dull patina of the Mecidi which is supposed to shine like diamond intalled etc. Regards
