2xvetran Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hi all, I recently got this eagle out of a batch of U.S. stuff from a local WWII vet. It appears unissued and I would just like to know more about it. What type of uniform it would go on, why the nice backing. etc... Thanks, Scott.
2xvetran Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 Where the backing has pulled loose, you can see it is brown... Thanks for the help, Scott.
2dresq Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) This looks like a standard, probably enlisted embroidered eagle. It could go on any uniform that would take a black eagle. The backing is interesting; it is only the inside when you separate the backing from the eagle that shows up brown? With backing inplace, it looks black. Is this correct?
