taquito22 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Just wondering if anyone saw the 1st Class Auspicious Cloud for sale on Ebay? I am not by any means endorsing it...I was just curious if anyone thought it was worth the asking price of a cool $25,000? (there are more pics on ebay) Edited January 16, 2011 by taquito22
alex82 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hello I think the price is much to high, I saw a first class auspicious cloud at the «show of shows» in Kentucky last year for about 10000$ (if I remember right). did someone buy this medal? best regards a l e x
taquito22 Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Nobody bought it yet...currently on Ebay as a "buy it now" for 25k.
hc8604 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I saw that auction. That seller has a lot of really nice medals he sold on ebay over time. If I remember correctly, this is the first time I have seen him put his auctions with BIN and make an offer. Usually his past auctions were just auctions. Looks like one offer has been made and declined.

Paul L Murphy Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I would have thought that $10-12k would have been the going rate for one of these at the moment. A few years ago they went for about $6k or so but prices have increased a lot in recent years due to increased interest from China. However they have not increased to $25k ! If I am wrong and they have jumped that far then I will be selling the one from my own collection !
Dieter3 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Sure is a nice award, but I'd be really nervous about dropping that kind of coin on something I couldn't see in person unless I was buying it from somebody like Paul or Richard, or at least getting their advice first!
