Chris Boonzaier Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I am having a bit of trouble figuring out what this guy was...
Christophe Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Hi Chris, It is said he is a civilian victim of bombing. He was 42 in 1918. He was a soldier "in sursis" (not mobilized, even if he should have been regarding his age). His name means "gardener"... Cheers. Ch.

Thanks, the In Sursis was the info that was needed... can you figure out what it says after the "eclat de Obus" part in the reason for death? And why he would get a military death card? And be so close to the front???????
