avadski
Hello guys, I got this one recently from WAF and have couple of question which I hope will be answered here. Main reason why I purchased this bar was of course rare Bavarian MVK 2nd class by Jacob Leser (first model) but still would like to learn as much as possible about the Feldwebel who wore it.... He was there around 1905 (Luitpold + DSWA) and he was there in 1938 (LS cross for Beamte). That's 33 years of his life 'documented' on the bar, taking into account he was about 18 when he entered army service he would have been at least 51 when he got his medal bar mounted. First 3 awards indicate he was a combatant...but...what was his role during DSWA campaign (steel) and in TR era? Beamter? Any thoughts please? Thanks in advance for your comments. saschaw
Very nice bar, lovely quuality! His SWA connection is not sure. I think we cannot exclude he was there, but chances are he did a job in Bavaria that qualified him for it, e.g. some bureaucratic stuff.
Danish
Normally I don't like the Austrian/German way of mounting ribbons, but this is a BEAUTY!
Paul R
There is a nice assortment of medals on that bar. He could have had just about any govt profession in the TR era.
