Gldank Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) I am not sure what this is. Does anyone know. My guess is that it is a Firebrigade 25 Year Service Medal. I have it filed under my Belgian Red Cross items but want to catalog it correctly. Edited April 25, 2011 by Gldank
dcollect Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 never seen this one before not many fire brigades gives a extra medal for a couple of years in service , because every firefighter gets his civil decoration with green white ribbon for a couple of years in service , i know some of the city does it and mostly there is something to do with fire or axes etc on the medal . the medal came with others ? maybe you can trace the origin ?
love4history Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Not sure either Jim. Never seen this one. I suppose the origin indicates a Belgian medal? Don't forget red-white are Austrian colors as well (and Polish and Indonesian and....)
Vatjan Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 The crown suspension looks typically Belgian, but that's about all I can say jan
