Deruelle Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Hi everybody, Here is one of EK2 from 1914. I don't know the maker of this hallmark, may be one of you can help me. Thanks a lot Christophe
Bill Garvy Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 It appears to be an "LV__". Here is one of mine which appears similar to yours. I have seen them in the following configurations, LV 11, LV 18, and this one, an LV 67, I think. . .
Deruelle Posted July 16, 2011 Author Posted July 16, 2011 Hello, Many thanks for your reply. I have never heard about such hallmark for WW1 aera. So this iron cross is probably a 1939 made. too bad Do you know the maker ? Christophe
Bill Garvy Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 The "LV" manufacturer is unknown to the best of my recollection. On another forum we discussed this topic and came up with the following "LV" marks that have been identified. . . - LV - LV 11 - LV 29 - LV 57 - LV 2 - LV 4 - LV 6 - LV 8 - LV 10 - LV 11 - LV 12 - LV 15 - LV 17 - LV 19 - LV 26 - LV 28 - LV 29 - LV 33 - LV 34 - LV 42 - LV 45 - LV 52 - LV 57 - LV 60 - LV 64 - LV 65 - LV 67 - LV 75 - LV 77 - LV 78 - LV 80 - LV 81 - LV 82 - LV 88 I believe "LV" was a WWI period manufacturer. . .
