Spasm Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Stuff I dug out of my trommel. Just for you gents to have a look at.
Mervyn Mitton Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Hi - Spasm (first name ?) Welcome to GMIC. These interesting pieces would be better on our Forum within the British section - near the top. We specifically cover South African - look at the titles. I would suggest that you re-post there - on this Forum it will get lost with medals. When you do, tell us a little about yourself and your collecting interests. p.s. whilst Sth. African viewers will know what these are - I'm afraid the rest of the World won't. Give a brief description of each and the unit involved. Mervyn
Spasm Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the welcome. Are you sure it should be there? It seems to be more of a colonial content. This gear is from the Border Wars in Angola during the 70s I'm happy to put the picture there if you are sure. Edited July 22, 2011 by Spasm

Chris Boonzaier Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Fantastic stuff Spasm, hat off to you for service in such a legendary unit!!
Mervyn Mitton Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Spasm (I can't really keep calling you this - give us a first name - please !). This should be the section for all things African - however, I have noticed that medals pre-dominent. Feel free to leave it here - but, do add a note on the different pieces. Mervyn
Spasm Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) Mervyn All the stuff is from 32 Btn SADF (disbanded in '93), Camo Beret (with 1st type balkie bar). NCO's belt. Service Book. Pro Patria medal. Metal insignia for stepping out and a cloth one that I should really stitch onto something one day. Cheers - Spaz Edited July 22, 2011 by Spasm
