Using the number on the rim of the service medal, where would one begin to look to find out who the medal was awarded to? The medal in question is for service on the Mexican border, just prior to WWI.

The rolls were privately published and getting hard to find. They were published by the late Col Al Gleim's Planchet Press. Al was the premier American medal researcher.

Does anyone know if Mr. Trisker served in WW1? I acquired the Mexican Service medal along with a US Victory medal, along with the service ribbon bar containing both ribbons.

It is more than likely Mr. Trisker served in WW1. You can write the US National Military Personnel Records people (using an Standard From 180, SF-180) if you have any information on the man. Also I believe you can check on his WW1 Draft cards info on line. Some of the more experienced US collectors may be able to help. Cheers Captain Albert
