army historian Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Hello All here is another page from a Military pass book. I can read most all entries - except for the merchant and a few others. Like Drf.? Eleonore Woermann (supply ship). also the entry under Dft.? Bremen which appears to start with an F. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Captain Albert
arb Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I would suggest that Dfr = Dampfer (steamer). The entry below Dampfer Bremen reads "Frittjof." Andy
Naxos Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I would suggest that Dfr = Dampfer (steamer). The entry below Dampfer Bremen reads "Frittjof." Andy Agree!
army historian Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Thank you guys. I can not find anything on the "Frittjof" - any suggestions. Thanks again Captain Albert
arb Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I believe that the entry incorrectly spelled the name of the ship. There was an SMS Frithjof- have a look here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Frithjof Andy
Naxos Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 The ship is listed in the 1909 Rangliste: I will make some scans
army historian Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Thank you both - I don't think I would have ever found it. So it's a Coast Defense Ship. Cheers Captain Albert
