Eric Stahlhut Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 here's a somewhat scarce item. i don't think these are frequently encountered, as they were worn between a relatively short time frame. does anyone have pics of this item in wear?
Gilles Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Somewhere, sometime a Schirmmütze was for sale that had this very insignia on its left side. Normally I think, they were supposed to be worn on the left cuff or above.
Robin Lumsden Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Here is mine ............... These were worn on the sleeve ................... Precursor of the Dirlewangerabzeichen, methinketh!

bolewts58 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I just picked this up and feel it is the same type of Stahlhelm specialist sleeve badge. I presume for former Jäger troops. Can anyone verify if this is indeed the same sort of badge? I know that a chart exists somewhere showing all of the scarce former service specialist badges. Does anyone have a copy of this chart? Any help would be appreciated.
