Lukasz Gaszewski Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Although the Russian Army never officially introduced ribbon bars, some unofficial bars used to be worn. I normally do not collect Russian items, but this one came to me along with the some Polish ribbons. All used to belong to a Polish officer who had previously served in the Russian Army. Wearing imperial Russian medals was officially prohibited in the Polish Armed Forces, but some (mostly retired) soldiers sometimes wore it unofficially, along with other medals.
Claudius Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Nice. Thank you for sharing. Can you show us the reverse side?
IrishGunner Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Dziękuję bardzo, Lukasz. An excellent bar and great info.
Noor Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Great find! Congratulation! I have posted my only Imperial bar up here as well before. Yours looks great! Please post up a picture of reverse as well? Is there any pin system?
