Chris Boonzaier
Can anyone put a unit to him? Thanks Chris
Glenn J
Chris, he was a reserve officer in Ulanen-Regiment König Wilhelm I (2. Württembergisches) Nr. 20 (Landwehrbezirk Ludwigsburg). He was with Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 180 certainly in 1916 when awarded the Knight's Cross of the Friedrichs-Orden with Swords. Chris Boonzaier
Thanks Glenn!! The mention of the 180 helps a lot. He seems to have been there as Oberleutnant d. Res. from the Outbreak of the war then, as Führer d. Gr. Baggage, part of the Regt. Staff. I dont know if he still had that function in 1916, although he was still with the regt then obviously.
