To give credit where credit is due..... I often complain about the quality of modern stuff, but this new badge by LR. Paris is the best quality of all.....

Nice lot you have here; Do you know why the 2nd INFANTRY has a horse-shoe as its symbol ? I have been wondering about that.

Hi,

It used to have a system with 2 Legionnaires to a Mule, it allowed them to move faster and carry more.

First day at the regiment it is made very clear to you "It is not a Horse shoe, it is a mule shoe!"

Thats why the regt mascot is a stuborn old mule named tapenar.

I have known a few very old legionnaires in my time who had served with those outfits. I should have knoeswn.
