JapanX
Unfortunately I can`t find much info on him. Except for he was a commander of 2nd division from 8.09.1904 till 6.07.1906 http://www.japanrussia.ru/russko-aponskaa-voina-voina-na-suwe-aponskie-divizii-polki-i-brigadi-v-russko-aponskuy-voinu-1904-1905-gg-.html

JapanX
We know that upper bar cae from 1928-1933 time period. But from what time period came lower one? Well, we know for a fact that this earlier photo was made after October 25, 1886 since the ribbon has a rosette I wonder if this is a home-made later added rosette ... JapanX
What is this medal on the right? So what is it? Red Cross medal? But if so, why there is no RC medal in later medal bar? Well, any ideas?

Gensui
Nice example with aura and charisma! Did somebody tried to clean the suspension and the ribbon or is the ribbon a late replacement? What I'm always confused about is the fact, that ribbons looks "better" compare to the medal itself. JapanX
Did somebody tried to clean the suspension Looks like patina pattern (or, another variant, something was lying on suspension for a looong time) clean... the ribbon or is the ribbon a late replacement? I don`t see any signs of cleaning. Ribbon could be later replacement, but it looks really nice and I think it came from Meiji epoch

Dieter3
Yeah, saw that. No takers thus far at 280,000 yen starting price. I don't think people generally fancy jumping into an auction with high starting prices. Or maybe I'm just CHEAP.....
