Bundesrepublik Early Bundeswehr peak cap ?

Gents, can any one identify this cap, is it even German ?...came with a November 1956 made Affenjacke, the seller threw it in as a freebie, only found it when unpacking the jacket !....is it early BW ? it is exactly the right shade grey blue as the jacket, but I must admit the peak does not look of typical German in construction.....so if anyone can give me a clue to its origin, I would be most grateful.

Gentlemen, further to the above.....Having made some enquiries, could it be a pre July 1956 Unteroffizier cap ? (It did come with an Unteroffizier Affenjacke) it has the so called "Teller" shape as opposed to oval of the post July 56' caps.......

No, definitely not Bundeswehr!

It looks more like a cap for a gatekeeper in a factory, or for the driver of the boss in the factory.
