JapanX Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 This one belonged to John George Lambton, 1st Earl of Durham. Made in St. Petersburg by Wilhelm Kämmerer in 1838. Length of collar (including clasp) 173mm (!!!)
JapanX Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Only three medallions from another miniature collar Obverse
JapanX Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 .... how they were wore? No ideas at all? Anyway, here comes more "simple" one. Belonged to Duke William of Brunswick (1830-1884) Very interesting one.
TacHel Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 IMHO, such a small representation might've been worn on the chest or sticking out of the boutonnière by a non Russian who probably had Orders from his own country that had precedence. The Duke of Brunswick's minis are simply breathtaking! Where on Earth do you get these incredible pictures from???
