Reverse characters read "Republic year 28, Kwangtung Province People's Committee, maker Chung Hwa "Pearls and Gold" on a Hong Kong Avenue in Canton". We also see mark 9 Karat and engraved name of recipient Cong Mang Chen. It is believed that this badge was given for donating money to purchase U.S. war planes.
