JapanX Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Back of the photo inscribed November, 1941. Navy staff sergeant, 7th grade decoration winner, Kano Jinpei
JapanX Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Another interesting photo. I believe what we have here is a cavalier of undescribed (i.e. undescribed by Peterson) profficiency badge known as "badge with battery commander's telescope". One of these days we really shoud discuss this and others undescribed badges :)
JapanX Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 A couple of additional examples. Navy badges come first 2nd class gunner
JapanX Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Sharpshooter badge (cavalier came straight from Meiji epoch and he is wearing this badge as order )
