buellmeister Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Gentlemen, I just picked up this EK2 yesterday and it has the appearence of being field worn. I love the soiled ribbon and and overall look of the medal. I only own one other 1939 EK2 and was wondering if there are any telltale features to look for in determining the manufacturer of this one. I thank you in advance with any information you can provide me.Regards,Joel
DavidM Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 HelloThat's a nice used cross. A shame it can't tell us where it's been and what it saw ! I'll see if I can find anything that might ID the manufacturer - but don't hold your breath ! I posted an EK2 a few days ago whose manufacturer I can't identify, but sadly there has been no response.Probably a silly question, but I assume there are no numbers or marks on the ring ?
buellmeister Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 David, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately no maker marks on the ring. However, to my untrained eye the "1939" looks different to the only other one I have an unmarked Wachtler and Lange.Joel
