    Gentlemen,

I just picked up this EK2 yesterday and it has the appearence of being field worn. I love the soiled ribbon and and overall look of the medal. I only own one other 1939 EK2 and was wondering if there are any telltale features to look for in determining the manufacturer of this one. I thank you in advance with any information you can provide me.

    Regards,

    Joel

    Hello

That's a nice used cross. A shame it can't tell us where it's been and what it saw ! I'll see if I can find anything that might ID the manufacturer - but don't hold your breath ! I posted an EK2 a few days ago whose manufacturer I can't identify, but sadly there has been no response.

Probably a silly question, but I assume there are no numbers or marks on the ring ?

    David,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately no maker marks on the ring. However, to my untrained eye the "1939" looks different to the only other one I have an unmarked Wachtler and Lange.
