SteveL Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Gents a recently purchased Generalleutnant tunic, very light grey lightweight pure wool jacket, heavily embroidered insignia, late 70's early 80's ? sporting a ribbon bar as shown in the photographs...my question is, when did the metal slider type bars come into vogue/fashion...I ask as the ribbon bar on this tunic is not of the usual 1957 construction, it is of the type above, again see photograph....is this bar acceptable on this tunic or is it a modern made up piece ! Daniel Krause Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Hi, nice tunic, but I think the bar is a modern one. The sliders came in use mid 90ies. Lots of greetings Daniel
