EK 1914 EK doc - good or not?

I am not collecting documents, but this one came with nice and original cross. It is quite strange EK award document which doesn´t have date, and awarded person is mentioned only by rank and second name. Looks (or wants to look) like document sent to soldier, who was already POW (note the stamp of censorship office).

What do you think?

It may have been in his Soldbuch and the Censor stamped off things that he had read and found harmless, plenty of possibilities come to mind, but I think the doc is right as rain.
