BURGERHAUS Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Gents can you see if you have any thoughts on this piece? There is a barely visible maker id. on it which I made a sketch of. Thank You Robert
BURGERHAUS Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 I add also a reverseSmall j with a dot both above and below said letter on the upper right side and a capital D on the upper left side. The life rune like mark is in blue. Any ideas at all? I thank you all in advance.
speedytop Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Hi, the blue "rune" is the sceptre of the "Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin". Uwe
BURGERHAUS Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Uwe You are the man! Any thoughts on the letters? capital D and reverse small j with dot above and below letter. I can't thank you enough.
J Temple-West Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 A very nice example of one of the commemorative plaques given by “Deutscher Luftsportverband” (DLV) for various flight competitions held in pre-war Germany. I’ve seen a few of these plaques over the years, some unmarked, and some with the “D i” as with your one which is most likely to be the initials of the designer.
BURGERHAUS Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 John Thank you for your reassuring comments. Onto the wall it goes albeit carefully. Regards Robert
