Austria Austria, Province of Styria or Stiermark Medal

I just bought from an online auction what another GMIC member told me it is from Austria, from the Province of Styria or Stiermark.

Please take a look at my scans. Can you please identify where it is from, what it is called, and what it is awarded for? Is it military? Also, any other information would be great.

It is not that I distrust the other member. It is HE who suggested I post specifically for Austria, because he wasn't sure exactly what it is.
