Hi all, anyone know who this fine gentleman is? certainly well decorated, if so any ideas as to what is on his medal rack, the rest is easier to identify

Hi Alex,

this "soldier" is general Tomoyuki Yamashita (山下 奉文) a.k.a. "The Tiger of Malaya".

On his medal rack he has

Taisho 1912 medal

1914-1920 war medal

WWI

Manchu Incident medal

Showa 1928 medal

2600 of Empire commemorative medal

China incident medal

Foundation of Manchu medal

Pu-Yi visit medal

Nothing international I am afraid.

Indeed He is wearing the :

1) (Nazi) Order of the German Eagle (neck badge + breast star) without swords

2) Romanian Order of the Crown, 1st type without swords (neck badge);

3) Japan, Order of the Rising Sun (breast Star);

4) Japan, Order of the Sacred Treasure (breast Star);

5) Manchukuo, Order of the Auspicious Clouds (breast Star) .
