Dave Danner
Does anyone know what happened to this officer? As an Oberstleutnant z.D., he was the commander of Landwehrbezirk Sondershausen before the war, retiring on 22 March 1914. Then, nothing. He is not in the Ehrenrangliste. He was born in 1856 and was still in the army in 1914, so it seems odd that he was not recalled during the war. Thanks, Dave
Glenn J
Dave, he appears in Nachtrag 3 to the Ehrenrangliste as Kdr. of Landsturm-Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon Northeim (X/25) Regards Glenn
Dave Danner
Many thanks, Glenn. Apparently I don't have Nachtrag 3. BTW, when will you be in Potsdam next? I hope to be there in March/April.

Dave Danner
Thanks again. I guess we will miss each other again. I don't think I will make it before the latter half of March, Regards, Dave
Glenn J
Dave, I will be there also from 1 to 8 September if you are planning a trip later in the year. Glenn
Dave Danner
Cool. I think last September I also missed you by a few weeks, as after I got to Europe, I was in France for several days, and then Rudolstadt, Greiz, Dresden, Prague and Wolfenbüttel, before getting to Potsdam. Dave Danner
I have a note from the MWB 1922 that he died in November 1922. Thanks Andy! Despite his Sondershausen connection, he got neither the swords nor the oak brooch to his pre-war SEK2.
