    Unknown Belgian commemorative medal 1918 - 1968

    Recommended Posts

It is a 50th Anniversary of the Armistice, 1968 (wapenstilstand literaly means laying down of arms). looks unoffical to me, possibly an issue by a veteran's organisation, obverse bears the portraits of Albert I and Baudouin.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

    Hello Frank,

I have read this unofficial medal was given by the Belgian town Nieuwpoort as a commemoration medal. Nice medal but the ribbon is poorly made, isn't it?

    kind regards,

    Jef
