Chris Boonzaier Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Karl L?ttgen was Lt. d. Res. in 1918. In 1940 (1st of July) he was promoted to Major. I THINK he was promoted to Hauptmann d. Res. in 1937. I also think he died in the war, not sure if he was KIA.A long, long, long shot..... does anyone know anythig about him?
Glenn J Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Chris,the only L?ttgen I have come across out of thousands of Prussian reserve and Landwehr officers I have indexed so far (up to May 1916) is one Leutnant der Landwehr Infanterie 2. Aufgeb. L?ttgen of the recruit depot of the reinforced 4. Ersatz-Division commissioned on 30 April 1916. A landwehr officer probably at least 30 at the time and therefore most likely not your man. I continue to look for him.RegardsGlenn
