Rarely seen Army enlisted mounted medals

Hello all - this is something hardly ever seen - an Army enlisted man's medals mounted. Served in the 2th bat 9^th Inf. (Manchu’s ) Korea, and B Battery, 2^nd Battalion, 6^th Air Defense Artillery ADA TC

That is a great pre 11Sep2001 medal grouping. Are mounted enlisted groupings really that rare?

Yes Paul - very very few soldiers or officer's in the Army ever mount and wear their medals. How many groups have you seen? They wear ribbons and very occasionally miniatures. George

Now that you mention it.... this is maybe the first Army set I have seen. I just never thought about it. Most of the mounted sets I have seen were from the Naval branches(Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard).

Do you think that this was his pre-2001 bar? Everyone received that darned GWOTS Medal in 2002 or 2003, right?

Not sure of the GWOT medal, but that was what he had. Could be pre-2001. George
