Unidentified Masonic or Templar Star? Need Help

I just got a breast star that resembles either a Masonic or Templar or Maltese decoration. I have no idea what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure it's neither Templar or Malta from the English Constitution, but I can't speak for Templars/Malta from other Constitutions.

Are their any maker's marks on the reverse that might point to its country of origin?

Look on reverse--perhaps a maker's mark by CORO [French costume jewelry maker that 'inherited' award dies] or similar manufacturer.
