army historian Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Probably post WW2 - D22 Denmark’s Military Equipment Corp., Astoria/New York, NY. Also the 10012 is a zip code for New York. Edited June 11, 2013 by army historian
IrishGunner Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Definitely post WW2 - even newer. This is the Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) for the 75th Ranger Regiment. The design was originally approved in 1969 for the 75th Infantry Regiment, it became the DUI for the 75th Ranger Regiment in 1986. Of course, the design is based upon the 5307th Composite Unit (Provisional), commonly referred to as Merrill's Marauders. More info here: http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/Heraldry/ArmyDUISSICOA/ArmyHeraldryUnit.aspx?u=5871 As for exact date, I can't say, but I would put it post-1986. Edited June 11, 2013 by IrishGunner
Doc Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 ZIP codes weren't used until 1963, so it has to be after that year.
