All from Band 3 Lohmann Hildebrand "Die Deutsche Kriegsmarine 1939-1945." Since these came out as sheets between 1956-1964 and cost hundreds of Euros to find not neccessarily complete sets these days, Herr Hildebrand authorized Paul C to have exclusive authorized reprints done in book form in 2008. I don't know how many Paul has left, but I only have 3 copies left. Edited June 29, 2013 by Rick Research

Guest Rick Research Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Oberleutnant date and KaptLt seniority number from Marine Ranglisten 1940 & 1944. Looks like he had it "easy" the first half of the war, and baaaad the last half. Corvettes didn't fare well--lots of tough action. Somebody should know where he was in 1942-44, hopefully. He was 5 years beyond the usual time career petty officers got commissioned with Wehrmacht officer shortages. An interesting career.
